Welcome to the Townsville Consumer and Carer Advisory Group Web Page. After being set up in 1996 Townsville's Consumer's and Carer's of Mental Health formed an advocacy group to help raise awareness within the Townsville District.

Mission Statement

TCCAG represents the collective voice of mental health community in the Townsville Health Service District (Townsville, Charters Towers, Ingham and Ayr)

- Identifying consumer and carer needs

- Providing community awareness of Mental Health

- Providing strategic advice to Townsville Integrated Mental Health Service (TIMHS) on service planning delivery and evaluation

- Encouraging and supporting consumer and carer and participation at all level of TIMHS

Purpose

Our purpose is to ensure that mental health consumer and carer views are heard by policy makers, service providers and the community, through promoting consumer and carer participation in relevant policy making and service development decisions.

Vision

To build a professional working relationship between TCCAG and mental Health Services as well as the community broader sector.
